Environmental Effects Added, Discuss

I'm surprised that no one has said anything about the environmental effects. I heard that the vendors lock their doors at night. I also heard that you can't bank because of this. Can you also not access translocators or guild masters at night? What about buying spells? Can the locks be picked?

That was what I experienced last night. Add to that the fact that a single night in game seems to last several hours, and it gets pretty annoying. I like the idea, but there needs to be some options for banking, buying, and selling if nights are going to last this long.

Oh, and my rogue is only level 6 with a lockpick skill of 27, but that wasn't good enough to pick any doors to stores or banks...just to add some info.

That's one thing I noticed immediately in WR... How long is the hours in WR? I know in EQL, 73 minutes realtime is equivalent to one 24 hour Norrathian day.

So how many minutes of real time equals a single 24 hour day in WR?

Thanks in advanced!

got this from the development and ideas forum. i assume it's accurate.

The Dalaya day is split into 24 hours. Dalaya rotates on its axis four times in the time it takes for Earth to rotate, meaning that the Dalaya day is six real hours.

Rejoice, you mind candy dealers:

September 1st: Shiritri's Harvest. All charm and mesmerize-type magic will have their durations doubled and resist chances lowered during the duration of this Holy Day, preceding a three-day harvest feast.

This comes from the "Enviromental Effects-Idea" post in the "Development and ideas" section.
