Enchanter pets

Got into a discussion today about enchanter pets and we were wondering...

Where do Enchanters pet fall as far as hps and attack power?

Of course enchanters pet fall wayyyyyyyy short of mage, bst and necro pets.

But how about Shaman and druid pets?? Druid pets I was under the impression are the weakest of all the pets (not counting SKs, clerics, and Wizards fiamilars).

Does anyone know general how a enchanter pet fairs vs those 2 class pets? Just trying to get a idea of how tough or untought enchanter pets are.

They have the least HP, AC, and ATk rate for sure. Unlike Necros and Mages, Enchanters don't really have the option to fall back and rely on their summoned pets.

This is where charm comes in.

You have the ability to have a pet better than any Mage or Necro's at your level

I understand all about charming as a enchanter :) I just wanted to know more about the pets strenghts.

So your saying Enchanter pets are even weaker atk wise then shaman pets? (figured they had less hps)

Enchanter pets are often referred to as "speedbumps" for a reason. It's honestly more like a second rune that doesnt eat a buffslot. You won't ever see your enchanter pet tanking anything for more than a few seconds, or doing any significant dps at all.

I don't know the hard stats for each class' pet at each level but I would fully expect the enchanter pet to be worse hp, atk and dmg wise than a druid or sham pet; they're really weak.

Surpiseing to hear there even worse then druids pet (who I thought had the worse)

The Orgins of the conversation came about about Boxing a Mage and a Enchanter.

Mage ench might work pretty well if you're good, if you're having trouble keeping your pet up just mezz the mob for a few seconds and get a heal in.

If it's supposed to work as a rune, does it take aggro well ? Otherwise it won't change much if he cannot divert the target from its master (Obviously my chanter experience is pretty limited).
I had the experience of illusioning a chanter pet with imp illusion, seemed to make it aggro any mob even after I DD or mez.

mage pet
necro pet
shaman pet
enchanter pet
druid pet

(for HPs, but ATK, i'ono)

In order of HP:

mage pet
necro pet
shaman pet
enchanter pet
druid pet
imaginary friend
cleric pet

yeah I guess everyone forgets to put beastlord's pet just under mage's.
And Aauby don't quote me please it has nothing to do with what I was saying.

Can someone post the order of damage they do?
I thought enchanter pets did more damage than shaman pets, because shaman pets cant quad attack.
Even though shaman pets have more HPs. Can someone verify?

Dont know about there but in The Game, Enchatner pets could do some pretty impressive DPS quading.. they just couldn't tank woth a dam.

It is interesting to note that none of the above folks identify themselves as Enchanters. I run a lvl 24 Enchanter and I have little, if any, problem using my pet as a tank. I rarely lose a pet to the mob unless I get adds. I cast Illusion:Troll or Iksar on the pet and let fly. On Dk Blue, the pet runs down to about 3/4 of its hitpoints and on white, perhaps 1/2. I can run a yellow as long as I get the pet out of combat at least once and give it a chance to regain HP. I also run a 41 mage and a 42 shaman and the pets seem to work just about the same.

Enchanter pets at low levels are fairly decent, but as you gain levels, the pets don't gain power in leaps and bounds like mobs do, so they become very weak.

Mage enchanter is pretty fun at least in groups for non-hefty mezzing areas. Wiz or rogue would make a pretty good combo with an enchanter I think too.

If you're gonna pair something with an ench, make it a druid. If you're gonna pair something with a magician, then idk, but a druid probably wouldn't be a bad plan there either.

Okay, now you're just messing with him.

Druid goes badly with nothing. Mage ench stands as pretty fun, not easy, but once you get a good rhythm going it's pretty nice, tash + malosini + slow + cripple + defensive sundering clicky => mob nerfed blow em up!

Rogue was fun with mage, with ench you have some dps, and they can take a hit better than casters at least. But yeah, druid is the best w/almost everything. and yeah, lil bit of a rez, but I actually cleared my new replies button! :toot:
