Enchanter Nejax's Line

I am trying to determine the effect of these enchanter spells including:

• 
  Level 53 - Nejax's Striking Curse
  Level 55 - Nejax's Sapping Curse
  Level 59 - Nejax's Rending Curse

  There seems to be quite a bit of confusion even under the spell comments as to what their purpose is. Can anyone clarify? Thanks.

Striking curse - All melee hits are critical until it wears off (doesn't effect pets)
Sapping curse - Stops parry, dodge, reposte on target (doesn't effect enrage)
Rending curse - All spell hits are critical blasts until it wears off

I know pets dont get critical hits, but does a spell like Striking curse help their DPS at all? I've heard people claim that it makes their pets hit harder when it's up, but without testing it myself it's just speculation IMO. Anyone have some proof either way?
