No, they don't have to be the same level. Relic: WoN doesn't even overwrite PotG, which is 5 levels lower, and WoN is the upgrade to PotG. :psyduck:
 
I think they're fine the way they are personally. The only downsides I see to them are GoE's much shorter duration and Empowers lower haste which translates into lower aggro potential. If I were to try anything it would be adding a slight aggro proc to empower and duration increase on GoE. I personally like GoE more than Empower the majority of the time even as tank it really only makes sense for raid tanking and selective group situations.
 
the answer is to just tell your tanks no to emp and that they will get goe and they will like it :hmph:

Gosh, Empower is too good to pass up for tanking 8(

The extra agro generation from GoE is nowhere near as good as the tanking benefits from Empower.
 
on that note I'd like to have shaman ancient haste be upped to haste % of swift like wind. Cause Swift overwrites empower and that gets me bitched at for hasting my group.... Ancient on the other hand doesn't have that problem. Also it makes a little sense that single target purchasable haste is better than ancient group version. I always max buff anyways and let me tell you as a shaman I've grown to hate any non group buffs aka charisma.

I haven't used the search function, but I am assuming it has been brought up before. If you really want to make a change to this, please post in this section as a new topic so it can be discussed. Otherwise it will not get noticed.
 
Just here to join the horde!

(also making empower overwrite goe and not the other way around would rock, also making sv overwrite sss would also rock because paladins slack so much in buffing and always force the poor beast to wait)
 
I definately agree that it would be nice to see Empower overwrite GoE seeing as GoE is a raid wide buff and Emp is a single target buff.
