elaborate chests in ToT

I haven't seen one of these spawn in quite a while. I spoke with other people who are also tracking them several times a day, and they've told me they haven't seen any spawn in 3-4 months also. Please look into this and see if it's working as intended.

If this is working as intended, please look into a slight change. It's obscenely difficult to finish as it is, and for a ranger (no bows after Clockwork so far but Flarewynd) it's beyond grating to keep going after a quest piece that refuses to appear after 100+ ToT raids.

Personally I don't know much about ranger weapons, but its a fact that we found up one elab chest in 4 months, where we got 4 chests in one month before. So yeah, a confirmation that spawns are working as intended would be appreciated.

They are actually spawning faster than they were for Steel back in the day. Just quadruple the competition for them.

Numinous has never run across an elaborate chest, but it hasn't really worried me, either. If we were past Mephar it would be a different story.

If any other guilds would like to toss up what they've seen, it would be interesting.

From what I've seen, the "best weapons" thus far are coming out of Sanctum.

I'd like to hear from PR if they've been getting elaborates, as every TU member I've spoken with has told me it's been 3 months since they've seen one.
 
I'm shocked that any you would take anything a competing guild tells you at face value.

Sorry if your piece is taking a long time, but thats what happens when you're one person out of dozens wanting to break open the chests.

Man, stop shitting up my threads. I can only think of one time ever when I posted and you didn't attempt to flame or troll me. WTB the ability to ignore people on the forums.

As for "long time," keep in mind that I started this with Ruin well over a year ago. I just want to get it done, and I'm curious as to whether we're just missing the chests or if they're not there. Re-read the original post. If you're having trouble with that, I'll toss you a quarter so you can go downtown and have a rat gnaw it into your face.
 
I assure you it is simply coincidence that I disagree with everything you post.

I apologize for the sarcasm, but from how many ToT weapons are currently in game, again I must disagree with you. The drop rate is fine.
 
Disagreement is one thing. The chests are either not working or working as intended. However, it seems that the current case is they are not spawning as frequently as they were 6+ months ago, which is why I posted.

If Exodus isn't opening the chests, and PR isn't opening the chests, and TU has only opened 2-3 in the past 3 months, who is opening them?
 
Almost everytime a chest breaks a weapon is ready to be turned in. There has to be at least 40+ weapons completed since ToT came out, that seems entirely fair. I agree its annoying when you cant 'poopsock' the epic quest weapon but it is what it is. From what I understand the chests have placeholders I hope you have figured that out by now.

Also its in your best interest to know that currently from the drops seen in prison sanctum every single ToT quest weapon is still irreplaceable. Maybe this will change but trying to form the idea that better weapons drop in sanctum is entirely false atm.

Stoneculler is very skipable by bards now, but yeah, most ToT weaps are stupid good (Ashpyre <3).

I was scouting chests about 1-2 times a day, and saw 3 in the span of mid September to mid December. There is a lot of competition, but there haven't been a lot of chests. I haven't checked a lot lately due to the change of bard mods, but I would assume the spawn rate is about the same. I have mentioned the spawn rate in passing to Woldaff, but he seems to be happy with the rate.
 
Chests spawn less frequently than bosses, and even more guilds are competing for chests than are competing for targets. At the very least, this could be addressed in the same way respawn timers have been addressed.

edit: Also, key drops seem extremely high compared to chest spawns.

We have never opened an eleborate chest so far only ever seen one up in our daily tracking and it was when we only had 2 chars online so we missed that 1

on a side note we only ever seen 2 eleborate keys drop and we do ToT alot.

Tbh, if I check how many weapons are ingame and think about when ToT came out it looks perfectly fine. You might've started raiding like a year ago but AFAIK you were away for a good chunk of it.

Going by your logic I should suspect that my missing fragment simply got deleted from loot tables - guess it's a straw of bad luck.

False comparison. Have you asked other guilds about completions of necromancer archaics? Have these inquiries reinforced that idea? No? Apples and oranges.

I've completed one on aisling, also a shaman archaic, and a cleric, way back I had all the enchanter frags too, but I deleted them.

Chest rates are probably fine actually, you are however missing a very important piece of the puzzle methinx. It's not hard. Think about it.
