You get this item after completing the Fifth part of the Shadowknight GM in Grobb. The whole quest chain gives you Vambraces, Bracers, Helm, Breastplate, and finally the Sword. The whole time, the items have been for DEF, TRL, IKS, and OGR, until I get the Blade, which is for some reason, not usable by OGR.

I'm questioning if this is an error. I don't understand why the pinnacle of a Shadowknight quest chain suddenly excludes a race it was including. I could see if it was a "smalller" sword, but then why can Trolls use it? Someone mentioned to me that maybe it's an Intelligence thing, but again, why can Trolls use it? The only reason I could see is maybe a Damage Balance issue.

If someone could shed some light on this, that'd be great, thanks.

It was probably an oversight by the designer and its been like this for a while. I meant to mention that my ogre sk couldn't equip it a year ago and forgot.

Hopefully, someone will see this and change it.

Oversight yes. Surprised it took this long for a post on it... this quest was designed like 4-5 years ago now.

First: I posted this over in the Classes & Gear. I got around to reading the sticky which said not to do what I did here. If one of them needs to be deleted, so be it.

Lastly: Okay, so it is an oversight, but is it going to be fixed? Is it fixed? Not sure if it's a file you just open up and edit then get auto patched when we launch or not.

Finally: I guess it wasn't a big deal because when people get around to making a SK, they got the twinks laid out for them?

Its pretty much set. It'll change whenever we get around to patching next.

Most people leave grobb asap and use oggok as a pass through from grobb to newport and don't go back. And "twinked" for most young sks is a mithril 2 hander, which will run you 50-80pp i think depending on the market.

I did this quest when I started over two years ago, but I am a dark elf so why would I notice?
