Duplication of LORE ITEM, disappearing loot, and mixed up inventory slots.

Using EQW on Windows XP home edition (if it matters)

So I soloed a mob in North Badlands called Firemane and attempted to loot two items via right click. I was able to loot the lion meat, but the lion pelt tunic disappeared even though I had a slot open that a medium item could fit into. So I figured I was SoL and continued on with Newport Ring quest #1 which is where things started getting funky... (I'm pretty sure that I wasn't loosing items before this point, but this was the point where I actually started to notice)

After assisting Scout Ronfer in surviving the waves of gnolls he attempted to give me his report, but I was told my inventory was full despite having slot #5 open. After destroying a rapier from my slot 7 so that both slot 5 and 7 were open, I was able to obtain Ronfer's report which appeared in slot 7.

Before giving Sergeant Halsey the three reports, I sold a lot of things on me so I had a few empty slots and obtained my Newport Scout's Insignia along with not one, but two LORE "An Unmarked Letter". One in slot 4 and one in slot 5 (since I had bags in slots 1, 2, and 3). So I gated to Burt Wellford and attempted to give him the letter from slot 4, and it looked like everything was fine, but I couldn't locate the bag that's supposed to appear. After Burt respawned, I tried giving him the second LORE "An Unmarked Letter" which he also ate, but gave a different response...

So I decided to try relogging, which when I did I magically had another LORE "An Unmaked Letter" in slot 7 which was empty when I logged out. But Hailing Sergeant Halsey allowed me to continue the quest... so I'm guessing the quest has been changed since the related info the the SoD wiki was written.

Currently all my slots seem to be working fine with right click looting in North Freeport.

Well, it sounds like that first problem you had was that the tunic wasn't really gone. Your client was just messed up. Relogging would have fixed it if that was the case. Did you happen to notice if the tunic reappeared? If not, then I'm not sure.

But it sounds like your client was bugged there for a while until you relogged.

This sort of thing does occassionally happen. There are some bugs on the server we haven't tracked down yet. It's a known issue though.
