Duo: Paladin and Rogue

It is doable but it will suck horribly with bad gear. Your paladin needs to be able to take the hits and have enough mana regen to constantly keep himself alive without having to med every 2 mins.
I wouldn't touch this duo with a stick until both players had 300+ aa's and adequate (BETTER THEN DEEPMETAL) gear.

It worked ok when I did it playing Balthor/Ikaa.. but.. i dont think it would work well while leveling, or with non raid gear.

Yeah... with my Paladin were he is now I could see this working.
But back in the DM low AA days I don't see this working very well specialy in dungeons were you would just get burned down.

I do this duo quite a bit and its not a matter or needing raid gear imo, just make sure you are fighting rather weak mobs for your level and somewhere that you have a low chance of getting overwhelmed. Pally can then heal inbetween fights and since the rogue adds so much dps fights are short and you take less dmg not a bad plan

I don't know how you can say this, everything in this duo revolves around having better gear and aa's then it would for another duo to come in and do the same thing. Even in the low end areas like necropolis, and sorcs you have plenty of things to go wrong very fast and make this duo hard. Yes a paladin can heal in between, however how much mana do you think he will have to expend to keep himself going in anything outside single pulls if the rogue is terrible dps.

AGH MANADRAIN FROM GOLEMS MY ROGUE IS DONE FOR BECAUSE I HAVEN'T BOUGHT DIVINE STUN.
Thinking of attempting this duo without already having 200+ aa's and full emberflow/tradeskill gear makes my brain hurt. Sure every duo does better with gear, but this one undoubtedly would be more difficult for a new player to attempt.
