Over time, my stance on spells in my spellbook as changed. I once needed to have *every* spell in my spell book. I had them organized differently throughout the years but I would typically keep them in the order they are found on the wiki, by level and then alphabetical (ABC) order, especially since you can right click spell gems to memorize spells.

Recently, especially after the 10 min buff changes, I have realized I do not need the majority of my spells and can simply delete them from my spellbook, the ultimate cleanup.

I will list the spells I have deleted and why below. I am sure this will be very boring for most people so I'm not sure why I am even wasting my time.

This spell book belongs to a Druid that is already 65 so keep that in mind. Please feel free to add what you like to do with your spell book, or correct any of my dumb ideas. Thank you.

Spells by Category

Create Item (Summon Food and Water)
  • Summon Food
  • Summon Water
Keeping both for obvious reasons. Sometimes the people you play with need food/water and it's not worth deleting even if that happens rarely.

Create Item (Summon Utility)
  • Dance of the Fireflies
  • Starshine
  • Halo of Light
Delete all three. I don't believe I have or will ever need to summon these item. Might be cool if these items could be looked into for possible upgrades like the Mage staff had in the past.

Damage Over Time (Fire)
  • Flame Lick
  • Immolate
  • Breath of Tarhyl
Delete all three. All three have staking issues with Druid's Utility Detrimental (Disempowering) spell line, so if I wished to decrease the targets AC or FR I would use those. The spells are also too low damage to cast at 65.

Damage Over Time (Magic)
  • Stinging Swarm
  • Creeping Crud
  • Drones of Doom
  • Drifting Death
  • Winged Death
  • Crawling Swarm
  • Relic: Doomswarm
Delete all but the best. These are all the same type of spell that gain power as you level. Keep the best one you can get your hands on and never cast the ones.

Notes to Devs

  • Possibly look into increasing the power of Summon Utility items for druids to make them more used at some point in the game
  • Look into fixing the stacking issues with all three of Druid's Fire DoT's
  • Fix Banishment and Disposement spells by removing the group2 indicator of Elemental. This makes the spells show up twice in the spell gem drop down list

  • Remove all the 'Skin' or single target HP Buffs (HP type one) buffs from the druid line. When applicable, reduce the level of the 'Protection' or group buff to the skin version
    • Protection of Wood level 9 -> 1
    • Protection of Rock 19 -> 14
    • Protection of Steel 29 -> 24
    • Protection of Diamond no change
    • Protection of Nature no change
    • Nature's Preservation 59 -> 57
  • Bug: Protection of Nature has its HP regen in Buff slot 5 when it should be in 4 like all the others in the same spell line
  • Turn Protection of the Leaf into a group spell. Remove Protection of the Cabbage. Lower the level you get Protection of the Glades from 60 -> 59
  • Turn all four of Druid's new HP Buffs (Symbols) buffs into group buffs
  • Turn all Druid's Single target Regen (Health) and Regen (Stamina) buffs into group buffs and Remove their group versions. I like the single target buff names better
  • Delete Legacy of Spike from the game, it is a Group DS for +20 @ level 51 when you get Shield of Thorns a DS for +23 at level 49
  • Delete Legacy of Thorn from the game, it is a Group DS for +28 @ level 59 when you get Shield of Blades a DS for +32 at level 58
  • Turn all Druid's Single target Utility Beneficial (Damage Shield) buffs into group buffs
    • Buff Legacy of Spine to make it +36-40 DS or remove it from the game like the other Group Druid Spells
  • Remove Pack Wolf Form. Druids get Share Wolf Form at he same level. I am not sure why there are two of the same spells
  • I don't believe Sense Animals does anything other than face your character South
  • Make Spirit of Eagle a group spell and remove Flight of the Eagles
  • Cull Storm - Why does this spell consume an Opal? Can this be removed? If no, could it be changed to a Pearl since Druid need those for PoEarth Port?
  • Change Tarhyl's Fiery Sundering from Utility Detrimental (Defensive) -> Utility Detrimental (Disempowering) to follow all the other Druid Spells.
  • Buff Repulse Animal to have a 9+ tick Duration and remove the Recast. Make it better than the level 19 Terrorize Animal spell.
  • Lower Entrapping Roots spell level to 50 or so. It is very odd to finally get your first Targeted AE Root for it to be replaced within 2 levels (60 to 62) reduce the damage if you must.

single target ds is useful when u dont want ds on people and u cant trust people to click group ds
same thing with share wolf form its single target
and single target soe is for when u dont want to fuck peoples levis and it also casts almost twice as fast as group so if u just want to hit someone inbetween zones and arnt using scale it's useful
 
I understand you not wanting to trust people, however that is a 10 DS difference, 35 vs 45, and I hope people can just use block buff correctly.

On the topic of wolf form, I believe they are either self only or group. So keeping the best self only wolf, if you even use it, Shape of the Wild, and then the best group version, Share Form of the Great Wolf, seems to be the only option. Please let me know if I am missing something.

Alright, you talked me into not deleting Spirit of Eagle. I also removed the note to devs about that spell.

or just do what i always do and put as little faith in the average person i possibly can and save some sanity

also i have 4 druids... the 2 spells u mentioned for wolf form are targeted and group
 
also also add fist of gurok to useless summons cause if i see you ever summon that on a druid you're not allowed to play with me anymore

I think I follow. You just next level gamin over here getting DS in between white golem phases. I am not sure I have the ability to SoD that well.
