Dragons?

Well, saw the anaconda in Mistwoods - now, evolution could one day bring about a dragon.

And I recall reading a quest that there is a clockwork dragon (unsure if this is still valid).
 
There are tons and tons of dragons. The dragons on WR even have one of the most complex storylines of any faction.
 
I like the Iksar story line, personally..

I could be biased sense I'm playing an iksar.. but I like the mystery that you guys have left in the story about them.
 
As of right now, I'd assess that the non-GM who knows the most about the storyline knows maybe 10 or 15%, so there's plenty of mystery to be revealed to everyone. Shit, I probably don't know more than 70-75% personally and just ask Wiz how much I bother him about lore :p.

The Iksar have always been my favorite race followed by DE. I've just been creating human characters for the exp bonus. Since you say there lore is pretty cool, I do believe I'll check them out.

Wiz has previously stated that there is a huge volume of unreleased lore, specially around iksars - he just doesnt have the time to devote to lore to do it proper justice unfortunately (which is why he doesnt release it half-assed).
 
Semi on topic.

In the spring of 2000 Willaena mark 1 was hunting in Blackburrow. She made a date with some of the other rangers she was grouping with that they would have to meet again and fight Vox and Naggy. Many moons later, one of those rangers and Willa did go out and fight dragons (although in Velious, not the old school.) And, at a different point, Willa did get to kill both Vox and Naggy.

The point of the story is that these two well known, legendary even, dragons provided a commonly knowable goal, something to look forward too in the distant future.

What are the comparable critters on WR? Or are there too many now?

Oh, and I find Willaena mark 2 is looking forward to fighting each of the adepts in order, so that might be the answer.
 
Before i knew about WR i always made up stories for live, and the GMs took an idea of mine. I had thought of Rallos Zek requesting a war machine and robotic army be built in the plane of innovation's factory... gargh i hate live gms.

I havent read any lore on WR yet, i usually like to get my character up then worry about lore : /
 
oO! I haven't seen a dragon since on live... glad to know there are dragons on Winter's Roar! :p I saw a huge snake in Mistwoods before (killing a level 62) I've also seen a treant, that attacked me and I died... I'm hoping to find more mobs that look cool. :p

No, there isn't. We intend for WR to have more complex goals than killing two simple dragons.

You could say that killing Rymaz and Ghan is the rite of passage for guilds, though. That's where you become a "raiding guild".
