Is bugged it seems. You free all the slaves and nothing happens. Or atleast thats what I understand you suppose to do lol.
 
We ran into the room, hailed all the captives. As one came out it jumped us so we killed it. We freed the rest of the slaves and nothing happened. Engaged doto, nothing still happened. Killed doto, nothing dropped, nothing happened. Killed rest of the captives, nothing happened.

Petitioned, nothing happened=(

What happens after this? The script begins?

We waited around 10 minutes and nothing happened. Maybe the Slave we had to kill bugged this or something but it wasn´t for lack of waiting if it´s 2 minutes. Can be more though, one losses sense of time when waiting / not waitng. Guess we try again.

it sounds like you bugged it, the event is definitely scripted and kinda long. You shouldn't have been able to just pull and kill doto after freeing the slaves.
 
There's a pretty big gap in between the captives and Doto actually aggroing people.

Was this a Xeldan zone? The script for this encounter has always been a bit buggy to my knowledge
 
the event has always been bugged and seems to break after its been fixed.

Ruin had insane amounts of prob with the event.

When he was engagable he was invul, he woudnlt' engage he was depop, slaves woudlnt' respond etc.
 
In all honestly actually the encounter really could be looked at in accordance to balancing after 2.0 changes. He never really was much of a gatekeeper to CoD considering even before you know what your up against I never thought he was as tough as he should have been. The script is neat but the encounter itself is pretty ez pz
 
Isn't this mob a requirement for access to CoD? If so, is it possible to still gain access to that zone if he is bugged?
 
Hey guys, I know I said I was taking a leave from working on things, but I'll look into this when I have free time tonight. How did you manage to have one of the captives aggro you, though? They just magically decided to attack?
 
No the one slave didn't attack me... I attacked it by mistake with a warrior. I had attack on ready to grap aggro on one of the mobs in the waves of the event when i fooled up and targeted one of the slaves. This was after we had set all the slaves free. We must have waited around for like 15 + mins after and nothing happened. So we just killed DOTO and he didn't drop anything or for that matter he didn't do anything but die. Anyways really sucks because we been looking forward to COD and now we stuck in SOD. Because we need that darn key. And I can't believe Gm's here don't even know the acronyms for the encounters. I assume they would /shrug.

They aren't official Acronym's, and it was Wiz that didn't understand your slang.
