Does CHA affect weapon elemental damage resist rate?

excuseme

Dalayan Beginner
Does a player's Charisma have anything to do with the chance of a mob to resist elemental damage on a weapon? I thought it might, if only because CHA, as I understand, affects the resist rate of a player's procs against a mob, and of course it affects the resist rate of a player's spells against a mob.

And yes, I realize that the connection I've created with those two things, and the elemental damage on a weapon may be completely misguided.

Thanks

I seriously do not want this to come across as sarcastic, but your last two posts are probably the best questions I've seen asked in a long time :p If I knew the answers for sure I would post a response, but, really, these are great questions.

My gut would say yes to this one though.

I'm with Rab on your two posts...I even read them and went "Hmm, I never even considered that"

It would be interesting to find out or have someone do some testing, I did notice that my mid level Ranger with the Shade Leather Quiver proc, gets resisted A LOT and only has the default, like 75 cha. But I don't even know if that's just related to the proc or CHA, I'll have to bump my CHA and see if I notice a difference.

As far as the pets go, it will be hard to tell, I don't believe you can toggle a resist message for pets on.

Speaking of elemental damage on weapons it would be nice to know exactly it is applied per hit. Is it applied "all or nothing" most of the time per swing if it isn't resisted like most spells are?

Does it receive the same bonuses per strength and atk as physical damage on a weapon does?

I think I remembered reading that on Live, elemental damage could either hit for full, be partially resisted, or be completely resisted.

And as for it receiving the same bonuses, I would guess yes, since, if not resisted, the elemental damage is added to the base damage number for the weapon.
