Do servers ever go up?

Any news at all on the server coming back up? I can't get into IRC so I dont know what im missing, as nobody has updated the site.
 
In my time playing her, I have seen a very good ratio of up time to down time. =) be patient, it will happen!
 
believe me... the recent downtowns are not normal for this server...

Once these issues are resolved I am sure you will most pleased... but just remember, this game is provided by people who are not getting paid and we are not required to pay for our use of their creation.
 
Indeed, which is why its best to be quiet and wait till things get back to normal. Were this sony or blizzard or whomever else runs servers for online games then you would have every right to complain since you're paying a decent chunk of change per month for the privilage of playing. As is sit back and listen to some music, or do what I do, fire up an emulater and play tetris for a few hours :).
 
And damn the people who recently join the server and find out that the server is having problems because of some pricks who like to exploit/cheat.

But anyways, this server is normally VERY stable, there are just issues coming up now because of recent patches which normally have holes...
 
Besides do not ever complain when you need not pay a single copper for the privilage of paying, however paying does help it keep its current home, which is a GOOD thing.

I'd donate but I'm broke :(

To dispel any rumors once and for all, the server isn't down due to exploitation. It's down to safeguard from possible exploitation which was discovered and reported by a player rather than abused. I'm sure the situation will be worked out asap, but unfortunately it came about at a bad time since Wiz is in another timezone and is asleep right now.
 
having some downtime after a recent patch is to be expected. I'm sure on average, the live servers went down *atleast* one time per patch, they just have tons of paid people to work on it, and SoD doensn't, so what do you expect? heh

I hope that he or she is given a pair of Jboots or something nice for being honest =) Not that honesty needs a reward.
