Ok, here is the situation :brow: .
Few months ago, I installed Everquest and played SoD, everything worked just fine. I stopped playing, and meanwhile i formatted my computer. Now i reinstall Everquest, and when running the game, it freeze randomly and there are lots of small squares flickering in my screen, particulary in the ingames menus.
I use a 800mhz pentium 3, 520MB ram, 3D Prophet 4000XT 32MB AGP video card, Intel 815 motherboard.
I must say that I tried with windows XP (i'm now running win98) and same problem. I have exacly same hardware than before when everything was alright. I updated all drivers possibly involved (videocard, motherboard). I took a look at the video card manufacturer web site and followed all possible indications. Just as they say, i verified if there was IRQ conflicts (NO).
Now, the in-games options. I have lowered all possible options like resolution, colors, details, textures, no mip maping. I also tried to not enable any detailed character. Same problem, anyway i was running the game with all highest level of details in the past...
I know you ppl might just say you dont care because your EverQuest is still running, but please if you have any hint, know someone that had same problem or know anything that could help me, plz reply! I'm at that point that im searching the web and all forums to find a solution, cauz i believe there is no reason it's not gonna work since it worked in the past
