I love being able to view pet health. But more important information to a group meber would be how much mana the person has...

Would the coding allow cleric mana ( or any other casting class for that matter ) to be displayed in the group window similair to a pet's health?

Maybe you could replace the clerics pet info with his mana info in a different color.... just a thought...

I don't think I like this idea very much. It would take more interaction out of the game. If you want to know the cleric's mana you should probably ask.

I would vote against such a change, as well.
Also, changing the color of the "pet health" for clerics implies changes at the client level. Hence, not possible.

targets target?!?!
health of targets target?!?!

But really. I don't think its possible, and I don't see why it needs added.

OK...would anyone answer yes to this question:
Does any1 think pet health is more vital information to a group than the mana each member has?

I really dont think the majority of people would say YES.....

BUT if you cant do it, then you cant do it.... and of course it doesnt NEED to be added, its merely a suggestion to improve the group window that i would enjoy being implemented.

...and guyvertoo....u may be right there is slightly less chatting due to many duo-boxers i agree, but cmon... missing out on people typing "oom" and "60 mana" during a fight is not going to remove interaction from the game by any means.

I do think pet health is more vital information to a group than the mana each member has.
Many times my pet ends up tanking, for example as a means of crowd control. A pet heal at the right time, coming from my cleric / druid / shaman groupmate, could be the difference between success or group wipe.

Joe Cleric says "40m"

Problem solved! :p

Then you would ave to make the pet report poor health to the healers. Thats why I am against changing the pet health bars.

Another issue is that the clerics wouldn't be able to say when they are comfortable with pulls. The puller may decide that 40%mana is jsut fine "for a single pull" even if the cleric knows they still need to do a buff soon.

Ask the cleric, they will tell you. Its really not a job to be automated.

Allow me to reiterate here:

Client modifications are not possible. We wish they were, but that isn't the case.

Yes. I like to think of pet health as "passive" in the sense that it can go down without anyone really noticing (an add comes, the MT dies, whatever), whereas a cleric's (or any caster) current mana is more "active" in the sense that it wont go down unless a he/she casts a spell (overlooking mana shield and mana-draining dots, since those are rare and special circumstances that obviously dont apply to this situation). A pet isnt going to say "hey guys look I'm dying. Heal me, root/mez my mob, do something!! Or someone else is going to get beat on" if its going to die, but any coherent caster is going to announce low mana before a pull, during a fight, or whenever applicable.

But yeah, cant be done so whatever
