Diety augs before iskith

I have a question, will all the diety augs be in place by iskith, the reason I am asking as I have been putting off finishing the mq and fq until I can figure out which diety aug I want to go with, I was originally going to be going with enthan but with the talk of nerfs on that and other augs it would be nice to at least have a gauge on what diety augs we can go with as it has been pretty much said if not outright that mq and fq will practically be needed for iskith.
 
Working my butt off to get them in before Ikisith is released, and odds are they will beat Ikisith into game. But if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen... at least they are being actively developed.

That being said, the augs currently in game have been adjusted for the most part into what SHOULD be pretty much their final form (or close to it), including the Ethann aug 'nerf'. They may be adjusted a bit more here and there, but Althuna and Marlow should be a good indicator of where most of the Augs (Sihala, Sivyana, etc) will be.

Jayla will be similar to Enthann.

Pariah and Divine light will be worse than that.

Shojar will be slightly better than the lot, and Tarhyl will be better than all of them.
 
One more question why is althuna so much better than jayla and enthann when it comes from a non combat plane, or is it planned in the future to allow us to raid city of mercy, Ohhh, and thanks for clearing that up, it helps make the alignment and aug decision much easier.
 
Althuna is raidable. At the moment you can't raid there, but most of the plane is done and ready to raid. But since its one of the early encounters that isn't done, we can't release it to raiders just yet. Poor City of Mercy has been on eternal back burner forever it seems =(.

Essentially it is only out in its current form because I wanted to get the Deity Aug Quest out, since it was independent of the rest of the plane.
 
Fact: Making the quests for the Evil Gods is more fun than making quests for the Good ones. That or I have a bit of a sadistic streak I need to get over.

Should live out your sadistic streak and make some really twisted quests that are not for those under 21.

Thanks for clearing that up. I, too, was a bit curious of the balancing.

Zak: Do you mind explaining how you came up with the disease resistance for the Enthann aug since almost all of PoVa/b is fire based?
 
Each of the Enthann augs have 5 on one single resist (compared to 2 or 3 resists that the other augs have). All the other Enthann augs were clearly associated with an element (POISONed moonstone, BURNING Garnet, MYSTIC opal, FROSTED something), but Blademages ruby did not have a distinct element associated with it... fire being the closest one, and none of them dealt with disease at all.

That was the thought process. It was either gonna be fire or disease, and the coin flip came out as tails. I'm open to hearing a case for that one being changed though.

Plot write ups for all of the deitys is actually done. You won't be disappointed trust me. My raid design may be questionable, but I can design a damn fine quest.

I think I need more to do at works...

So if all the Aug quests have been written out, does that include Malath? I think he is like the only one without a plane besides Jayla. I might need to look at the list again though.

So in short: Is Malath's aug quest written and his plane being designed? Thanks!
 
By written I purely mean the storyboard and skeleton. And yes all of the dietys quests have been written in that regard. Its the coding, implementation, specific NPC's, and testing that slows this process down a bit...

The case I would make for it would be that Enthann's plane is mostly comprised of fire elements, Blademage's Ruby seems like a fire type item, the item is red (hah), and the fact that disease really has nothing to do with PoVa or PoVb.

This is coming from someone who has too much FR, and a very low DR, however, I think it makes sense to have it as FR. If it stays at DR, I won't complain, since I am sure Ikisith will have plenty of uses for DR.
 
My goal is to have the Jayla aug and her plane ready for public consumption by the new year 2011. I am probably going to get in trouble by putting that timeline in place, but I am feeling pretty good about it at the moment.
