This spell is neat in theory but at 510 mana I really can't force myself to keep it in my spell bar any longer. In my opinion the stun should be removed and the mana cost reduced significantly, paladins just do not have the mana pools of real casters. I see it as an interesting way for paladins to do spell dps. However, when 11 casts would spend my entire mana pool which could be spent on heals, actual aoe agro etc. I'm not sure the mana cost is balanced if it is meant as an option for dps and not just one more agro spell. Any other paladins' thoughts?

I think it's mana cost implies it's intended use, which is that you aren't supposed to use it as part of your normal rotation. It's that little extra when your ae misses a target, or you lose a mob, or you are kiting many mobs at range where pbaoes are harder to use.

Just don't think of this spell as something you're meant to always have on your bar or that you're supposed to be spamming.

Not sure that kind of spell is even worth keeping memmed.

Since the spell is pretty much situational, it would be nice to see it mana cost go down. It was pretty useful to drop my 3rd self heal for it on the well script, but my mana pool definatly paid the cost to the extent where I hardly was able to use it and ran OOM anyways, where would usually end with about 20% left.

When you miss a target or lose a mob single target stun and blind do the exact same job, and while it is appealing for kiting whenever I have tried it simply rapes my mana pool especially on long boss fights and when you want to also be spending mana on ghots self heals and regular agro spells.

Thats the problem, where other AE agro spells are better in terms of mana cost AND number of mobs they have a refresh to limit spamming. This spell is situational enough simply because it only hits two targets, it is not a substitute for any of the other agro spells and would only be used when a paladin must get agro at all costs meaning large amounts of mana that could be saved for the better agro spells when they refresh or heals. Like I said the agro part of the spell is not really needed, the cease should be removed and the mana cost lowered to the point where it is a viable way for paladins to turn mana into damage, in other words paladin dps which ikisith spells were meant to help resolve.

Bump, I am just wondering when if ever other paladins use this spell. I currently only mem it for one raid fight and even then it is not really helping me in any special way. I think this spell needs, if nothing else, a major reduction to mana cost.

The more I think about it, the places I might want to use this spell if I were a paladin I would really not want it to deal damage.

Yeah, if any mezzing is going on this spell is a no no, too much can happen to a mob pulling a rain around over 12 secs. Also, its is in every way inferior to other agro spells, including ae stun that does dmg. I mean there just is not really a time when you need massive agro on only two targets at the expense of your manapool.

I still think this spell got too much crammed into it, it should either be marked as an agro spell or a dps spell, remove one component and reduce the mana cost by half.
