Deleting .txt

I am aware that to fix the problem of a stalling patcher, one needs to delete the files .txt. However, I am not a technical person, and i have no clue how to do this. I have tried, only to fail. I just need a little instruction .

You go to where you installed your sod patcher, then you find the file called "files.txt" and push delete on your keyboard.
