Decrease stamina loss

Does decrease stamina loss for work appropriately in 2.5? For monk abilities? Warrior abilities? All the other standard abilities? I know worn effects don't work, just trying to limit the number of wildcards in my testing.

Also, what are some easy ways test cases to test this? For example
1a) Be a rogue without acumen.
2a) Do stance whatever.
3a) You lose X stamina every second/backstab/whatever.

1b) Be a rogue with acument.
2b) Do stance whatever.
3b) You lose Y stamina every second/backstab/whatever.

i notice a difference when double shotting on a ranger with and without regen havent tested much else

The easiest method for testing whether the stamina loss mitigation mechanic works would be to test it using the premier stamina loss mitigation buff @Kapitol K hinted at -- Ancient: Sihala's Gift. This buff reduces stamina loss by 35 (whatever that means).

By comparison, the decreased stamina loss on Acumen of Dar Khura and plain old Acumen is a measly 5, which would make it much harder to tell the difference. Yaulp IV (the final Yaulp spell given to Paladins), Empower, and even the ostensibly useless level 3 Bard song Jaxan`s Jig o` Vigor all outclass Acumen in terms of stamina loss mitigation and would be decent alternatives for testing if the DRU regen is too powerful or whatever.

I think the simplest way to test whether or not this mechanic works is to use a stamina-draining stance with a decent duration and keep time either with a stopwatch or, even better, /log to see how long it takes to go from 100% stamina to zero. Good candidates that come to mind are /s 4 on a Paladin or /s 6 on a Rogue, though many other options exist. Unfortunately, this can't be used to test Warriors and Monks given that they have no longer have any duration-based stamina-draining stances, but I'm sure some method can be devised involving using a stopwatch and seeing, for example, how many /s 3 Eagle Strike lifetaps a Monk can execute in 60 seconds with and without the buff(s).

Zaela mentioned something about what might not be working with worn effects in a previous post, I'll link it here since it's buried in a non-2.5-fixing post:

https://shardsofdalaya.com/forum/threads/overcap-sneak-mod.30244/#post-306701

Specifically:
* The number of things that the client is in charge of are relatively small. Movement speed is one of those things. Vision effects are another. If acumen isn't working I imagine it's because the devs weren't aware of how spells on items are handled in the newer client. In the old client, there was only one spot for spells on items, and then a field that would say "this is a proc", or "this is a clicky", or "this is a worn effect". In the new client, there are separate, dedicated slots for all of these things. So if Acumen is in the "proc" slot rather than the "worn effect" slot, the client wouldn't take it into account as a worn effect (for the small number of purely-clientside things that such an effect could influence), naturally.

I dunno if this is helpful or not, but we definitely appreciate you looking into it.

Glad that decrease stamina loss works on spells (as far as I can tell from this thread), which means this issue just fixing the worn stamina loss stuff.
