Dear Fomelo, tell me about Bane!

By making Fomelo give weapon ratios vs certain mob types depending on what bane i have equipped! Maybe add a separate melee page in the "Skill Mods / Focus Effects" section that accounts your current equipped weapons and which bane items you have equipped so you can see if it's worth switching out gear to poke / bash / slash / punch / whatever some specific type guy harder.

Is this doable?

We have not really publicised this yet since the specific numbers are in flux but worn bane just adds a percentage increase to all melee damage against the mob.

No more horrible maths for fomelo to need to show.
 
Would it be possible still to have a list of all your worn bane damage on fomelo? Maybe it could go in the Advanced Item Effects section, or it could have it's own separate tab. It would be really great to be able to glance at a list and see "oh hey, you have 6 nature, 9 chaotic, 11 dragonkin, and 7 young races." rather than having to individually check every single item to see what it has.

I mean, I guess most melee characters will figure out their gear sets quickly enough, just like I know my focus effects better than other people. But when I box my friends monk or something, it would be cool to take a quick look and see what he's capable of, rather than digging through 6 bags of gear. (yes he actually has this much, with even more banked)

Seems like it would fit fine under advanced item effects. I will see if we currently have the php chops to make it happen. I bet we do.
 
It is my understanding that the modifier is added in a way that it effects all melee damage. My understanding may be incorrect, though, as I am not the one who coded the changes.

As far as I know we did not change how bane interacts with spell damage at all. There could have been some unintended cross effects that need fixing but it was not our intent to change it. Spell damage will never be as highly effected by bane as melee damage, though.
