what would be a better investment for a de sk 1hs or 2hs........i know u do more damage with a 2hs and u have more protection with a 1hs and shield but i was wondering which one would be the best to invest in at the lower lvls....or would it be a good idea to invest in both.......i just have a hard time finding any good 2hs weapons

Definately both. SK's can fill a number of different roles, and in order to be most versatile, you'll need the ole sword and board, and a good 2hander.
its best to train up all your weapon skills as you level as it doesnt take very long to get 5 points, but later on when you get, say hammer of warding, and youre like oh shite! my 1hb is 0 and it takes you a long time of being useless during raids to pump up your skill. so ya, id say train up all your weapon skills as you level, never know what weapon youll be using tomorrow.
