Hey.
Curious if its possible to get de-leveld (probably an unusual request) ;)

Friend of mine jsut started playing and I wanted to help him out and do a bunch of simple maps with him, ie max lvl 59.

My sk is level 60, soo.. im wondering can he be moved to 59 so i can play with my buddy =)
Sk:s name is Treak, gotta start re-equipping him and bring him out of retirement if its possible.

Thanks.

I think if he does the digging (and holds the maps obviously..) you can still help him with simple maps. You'll probably just kinda nerf his exp if any of the mobs are green or low blue. I could be wrong though.

That dwarf ring is soo worth it

Pretty sure this is ban worthy. I know it is against the rules at the very least.

Just out of curosity, might it be possible to request the ability to de-level a toon?

Maybe some sort of automated de-leveling function on the site (so Admins don't have to waste their time) that requires a reply from the email of the account (or the power of attorney email)? Simply click the link, fill in the requested level, and reply to the automated email sent to that account with a certain message in the email title. Automated mail checks for the title and activates within a certain time frame or disregards it after another time frame (24 hours or so?)

I have a few toons I was wanting to keep in certain ranges but, having so many of them, I forget to turn on aa exp before they ding past the range i wanted.

It would be nice if it was possible, specially if it didn't bother the admin's/Gm's or whoever would be doing it.

de-level a toon?
This goes against all the natural laws of the universe. What next, de-aging?

To once again quote Billy Madson:
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

JK it's not really that bad of a request. I have been on adept raids where someone in the group popped a level too high killing the trash before the adept.

Yeah everyone thinks things are a good idea until they affect them negatively, but realize in an online game community, people are usually self indulgent shitheads. So when someone with t9 gear and max tome de-levels to solo adepts for their alts, will it be such a good idea anymore?

Not exactly a commonplace scenario, sure, but you get the point. There ARE reasons you cant just slide up and down the level scale.

Should make it delete all your AAs and Tomes when you De-level.

probably not a good idea to delete. but if possible, suspend them, until you level back to the level you were.

Any new AA bought will still take effect, just the ones you had before wont effect you, essentially giving you that many less AA to enhance your character. Tomes should just be suspended and not given Xp.

This way I think people would still de-level to play with friends.

Not sure what can be done about raid gear.. even with recommended levels most items are still going to make you far more powerful than you normally would be at whichever level you choose.

I agree, if this is considered just make all AAs and tomes lost upon deleveling. I think that would be enough of a deterrent to people de-leveling their t9 toons to kill some adepts. If you have any raid gear that will make much of a difference over not having it you probably have more AAs than you would be willing to sacrifice for playing a lower level char. At that point it would be more worthwhile to power level up a new char to play with your friends. Simply suspending AA and tomes would not stop people from doing this to make killing adepts easier and such, because when you have already started tomes getting from 59-65 will probably take a day or so.

Why are people even arguing over this since it's been stated this would not happen except to correct a bug's effect.

We have done this in the past, however, you would lose ALL exp up to AND including the level you went back to. Most times it is because quest exp blows through exp lock.

New rules: Asking for a delevel will result in a revert to level 1 with nothing.

In seriousness though that is an odd request.

It's not that odd, people used to purposely die repeatedly on live to be a lower level (hi level limited dragon raids) I don't think its that strange that people would find reasons to do so here (missing adepts).

Charlie2999 wanted to be deleveled 1 level to be able to do simple t-maps with my mage, but since it looks like its not gonna happened We'll just settle for VE's
