I am just curious, the people that are DCing, how are you doing it? I have tried it and one of the chars is just not playable. I have turned the sound off and that seemed to help some, but one of my chars will lock up before I even have a chance to do anything. I downloaded a mem manager but that didn't seem to help. I also got eqwindows, but, it won't load up. I get past the server select and it stops. I'm just curious if there's something else I could try... Thanks for the help :)
 
I have 512 mb ram and DC just fine...I also have a 2.4 gig processer and Geforce 4 ti4800 vid card.

Eqplaynice helps a lot. Have to get the right version though I believe.

I got your same hardware but I cant use it... what's that eqplaynice you are talking about and how can I get the right one?
 
I've got an AMD XP1900 with 512 Ram. But, I have a Gforce 2 video card w/64M.... Guess my card could be my prob... Thanks for the response :)
 
I have a 550 mhz (pentium 3), 320 ram, TNT2 and I can DC just fine, where it rarely locks up. Also, I don't use EQ Play Nice or whatever it's called, dunno why though.
 
Do you use eqwindows? I thought that might work, but, I can't get the game to run using it. It stops after server select. I could only download the latest version. Is it possible that it won't work with WR?
 
XP 1800 - 640 MB ram - Radeon 9700 Pro (and GeForce Ti 4400 since fan died on R300)

Both dual client just fine. With Ti 4400, i get some extreme choppiness on the login screens while loading second character, but in game they run fine.

I don't run any third party shit.
 
I use EQW to DC, the current version wont work with the client you need for WR, 2.35a works fine though.

From personal experience you'll do much better with multipul installs.
 
Thanks, I'll make a second WR folder and see how it works. How can I get the 2.35a version of eqw? I can only get the newest one off the website. Again, thanks for the help. :)
