DC on 56k

Hello, i currentally built a pc capable of running two accounts, but the problem is i live in the middle of no where and can only get dial up s a max. I played two accounts for a little yesterday and got no lag on pc side but some on internet side. I was just curious as to everyones thoughts on a straight forward and relaxed dc combo for this situation.

Thanks

I know that when Jer and myself run three accounts (one of us is DC'ing) on a raid, we can get massive amounts of lag. We /cmd filter 1 0 ... it relieves a lot of lag on raids, not sure in exp. groups / dc situations.

As far as combos go that are easy to do, I don't know which one you would want. I'm a big fan of melee / healer. But at this point the game is just littered with melee / healer combo groups. I've seen Kimmy / Kimmie, which I believe if I remember correctly is a mage / wizard combo. I have no idea how she did so well, but hey, if you're a good player I suppose you can make anything work. Root, send pet in, nuke. Meh. I'd just be worried about the pet taking too much damage and dying, which would seem counter productive.

Oh, another combo I've seen that works really well is Mag. / Shaman. Slow with the Shaman, send pet in, dot with Shaman, nuke with Mage, heal with Shaman. The only real problem I see would be having some adds. How to get the pet to tank the adds would be difficult. But with Shaman slow, anything is possible.

So I guess it's pretty much up to you. The high end needs more int. casters though, that's for sure.

Wiz/mage seems like a fun idea. Earth pet should be able to hold aggro i think and wiz can nuke while mage reserves all mana for heals. Hrm... maybe two little gnomies running around could be fun.

But for 56k you might want to try just a simple war/cler since the war can probably tank through a bit of lag and delayed heals.

I agree. In anticipation of lag, WAR CLR is probably the way to go.

And yes, you can still keep yoru gnomes.

Yuck, warrior / cleric combo kills stuff too slowly though. Although yes, for a laggy situation, it would be alright.

bst/mage

I did Beastlord/mage.

You still have slow..though a little big latter then shaman and you do get heals plus mana regen spells.

Depending on the mob I either tank with my bst and let the pets do more dps or if the mob hits to hard for the bst to tank and heal himself I let the mage/bst pet tank and just dd/heal with the mage and bst.

Its a little more labor intestive then the shm/mage if the bst tanks also.

Slavage Bst & Skavage Mage.

I play a magician/cleric and have had a lot of fun, plus its easy to DC and very lag friendly

Only bad part is pets can't have HP buffs like on live, but the magician can summon regents for the cleric which is nice

Erm, you can buff pets fine, so long as they're 20 > levels below the level of the buff. Even the level 55 druid pet will get all buffs thrown at him because he is about level 47.

Oh really? I just assumed since it says it's on them, that it's affecting their HP. I had never realy done any tests to think otherwise.

Hmm, interesting. I never realised that before, not being a real pet class. Thanks for the info. I guess I missed that thread.
