Dark Rot Information!

Brief history lesson: Dark Rot isn't new, nor is this "The Hierophant" that released. He's done this before... around 8 in-game years ago (August 2007 or so RL).

The Bearers of Truth and the Healer in Athica managed to contain it somehow, but during a recent event, The Hierophant has released Dark Rot to plague us again. Dark Rot is a disease that, left unchecked, will spread throughout the land of Dalaya.

What does it do? For this, I quote Ykari in his thread I've linked above:

Dark Rot (Stage 1)
Decrease All Resists by 1
Decrease Charisma by 5
Decrease Attack by 5

Dark Rot (Stage 2)
Decrease Stamina by 5
Decrease Strength by 5
Decrease All Resists by 3
Decrease Charisma by 10
Decrease Attack by 10

Dark Rot (Stage 3)
Decrease Stamina by 10
Decrease Strength by 10
Decrease All Resists by 5
Decrease Charisma by 15
Decrease Attack by 15

Dark Rot (Stage 4)
Decrease Stamina by 20
Decrease Strength by 20
Decrease All Resists by 10
Decrease Charisma by 25
Decrease Attack by 25

Dark Rot (Stage 5)
Decrease Stamina by 50
Decrease Strength by 50
Decrease All Resists by 30

How the hell is this even possible, The Plague is contained in althuna according to the aug quest.

I dont do the RP thing but unless im wrong doesnt that mean althuna need needs to die.

Retribution has actually attacked Althuna a few times. She's a tough bitch.

Nothing has been announced, and given the "event" nature of storyline events, there probably will not be any warning. Keep an eye out, especially if you're a member of the Bearers of Truth (see the "Roleplaying" subforum if you don't know who they are), and just be prepared to be involved with anything!

She was definitely killable when the zone came out, I dont think I got her past 94% because shadowknight dps was horrible and i didnt want to sit for an hour trying to find out she would port me out at 1%

They changed her so that she won't drop below 99%...

Either that or she has 90 million HPs.
