Dark Elves and Charisma are they worth it here?

Let me start by saying what a great shard this is!

one of my favorite races when i played live was the dark elf i just think they are pretty >.> unfortunately the original designers did not want them to be..I learned here charisma is mega important i was wanting to roll a dark elf magician but noticed even dumping all my starting points into her, CHR only went to 80 . My question is can/will dark elves be any good in the end game is it possible to get the high CHR needed by 65?
 
Charisma can be increased by high level toons using AA, or buy purchasing CHA stat gear. You can also use things like potions and stat buffing food and drink. there are many ways to increase ur charisma score.

I play a paladin and my cha started at 80 after I rolled him up. I currently have a 115...BUT... I often use potion of mind(+30) and other buffs to get my charisma over 150 all the time. And I have not yet put any of my aa in cha yet so I will then have over 160 after aa. You will obviously want more cha gear than what I have so you could reach 200 cha easily and be under level 51( level 51 required to statrt AA purchase).
 
You're not going to break your character based on race and those bonus points at creation. Things might be a little more difficult with lower CHA to begin with, but eventually you'll be able to max your CHA.

I wouldn't put points into WIS as a magician, but other than that, you'll be fine. If it's your first character here, I'd recommend getting your CHA as high as those bonus points allow then not stressing over it further.
