I'm going to assume that damage is meant to break mez and indeed for NPC's it does. Unfortunately for players - at least under some circumstances - it doesn't.
For example, the following steps illustrate the problem (may take a few attempts if you have good resists):
* Cast a DoT on yourself.
* Cast a mez on yourself.
If the spells stick, your movement controls will stop responding and you will receive the message, 'You lose control of yourself!'
The DoT will then 'tick' doing you some damage. This will wipe the debuff icon and generate the message, 'You are no longer stunned.' However your controls will still remain locked out!
Once the max duration of the (already faded) mez has expired, your movement controls will once again start to function and you will receive the message, 'You have control of yourself again.'
Now I could be wrong, but I would have thought that the controls should be re-enabled and the 'You have control of yourself again.' message should appear at the same time that the mez is broken and the stun/debuff icon disappear, rather than after the maximum duration of the mez.
Could we get a fix implemented for this?
