Damage Bonus?

I dunno if this is a monk only thing or what, but i've noticed on all weps that i see the normal damage and delay, then there's a "Dmg bonus".. does this count for anything? Here's a pic for those of you who dont know what i'm talking about,

Dmg Bonus carries over from live. It is disabled/ not working on Winter's Roar due to balance reasons. Just ignore that stat.

As said, it was carry over from live.

On live, damage bonus was directly added to your damage... ie a weapon with a damage bonus of 8 would never hit for less than 1+8.

This made weapons with low delays infinately more powerful, especially at the end game. Damage bonus was unresistable damage.

I believe wizzy balanced the melee game before damage bonus was available for EQEMU, and didn't feel like changing the basis of the server just to add this crap. Then again, I am talking out my ass. Like the American Liberal I am. <3

Yup, for 1handed weapons the formula was
Max(0,(youLevel-25)/3)
so at lvl 28 it started to be dmg bonus 1.
 
AYe suh.

It was also different for two handers, and all that crap... I never worried about it much. I just parsed my DPS if I was unsure.
