Damage/attack formulas??

Can someone explain how melee damage is calculated? I understand the attack/delay aspect of a weapon, but how does that, along with your strength attribute affect damage? Is it similar to D&D where a random base number is established from a certain range, and then the modifiers are applied?

For example, how does adding +10 STR to my character affect damage output? If I have 2 weapons, both having 1:3 atk/delay ratio but one hits for 10 damage less and adds +10 STR, will my damage output be the same? Is the STR modifier added to damage?

Sorry for such a convoluted post....hope it makes sense...

strength does not stack directly onto the damage done. It is slightly formula base and strength is only part of the picture. STR, Weapon Damage (Blus modifiers based on level - believe those exist here) factor into exactly how much you can hit for max. Your ATK skill is a factor into how often you hit at or near your max.

Its not the whole picture but part of it.

I do not believe there are offensive and defensive caps on WR, like live, except the 20dmg a hit cap up until level 20. Forumlae aside in the end the more atk you have the more per hit you will be doing in addition to your weapons damage rating and the more AC you have the greater chance of a getting hit for less dmg from a mob.
