I'm always interested in trying new things, and Cyrtho Malath looks like a lot of fun.

At what level should you be to start successfully doing some of this zone? (especially the 3rd floor)?

Is it something you can do at 57? That's what I'm wondering most.

Agreed. Probably want a 65 group or well geared tons in their 60s for CMal2. CMal3 you'll want mostly 65s with a good chunk of AAs.
 
Good luck there, CMal is an awesome zone and tons of fun. (Except those stupid water tower portal things that it takes me a goddamn hour to get out of)

Make sure to bring competent CC, especially if you are attempting it with a sub-60 group.

open map and face the direction of the doorway in the area you are going in
 
I have always found large races dont seem to get out of the water very easily. Quickly solved with a shrink.
