Customizable Beastlord pets?

Hey there
Would there any chance of being able to choose your beastlord pet? I enjoy playing my barbarine but I really dislike his wolf compared to an iksar's scaled wolf or the troll's croc, is there any hope of making other races be able to use other pets?

Thanks
Korbac

I'd like a dwarf for my beastlord pet. I'll still keep his name as bitey though. Bitey the Gimp Dwarf!

You should have picked a different race. Would make this alot easier for everyone if you did that instead of making a suggestion to throw the RP sense out the window and reimpliment something like this just cause you don't like your pet.

The RP sense? what RP sense tells you barbarians can only make animal friends with wolves? =\

They just make friends with the most common animal near their city :). Anyways, blame SOE for bst's pets.

to be honest, I'd rather have a small pet than a big pet. Big pets get in the way and are only really useful for scarying newbs.

Im pretty sure BST can use the spell tiny companion found in oasis on the spell vendor there. Makes pets tiny.

the simple fact that you HAVE to use shrink on your pets, just to keep them from taking up an entire room in a dungeon, is crazy. Especially ogre bst pets, that bear is silly large, i would suggest making pets smaller, who cares how big a pet can get ;(

After every zone and it gets tedious.

Speaking of which, Barbs can't even make their pet smaller...so think of the bright side.

Huh, I'm gonna have to make another trip out there again. I didn't see a vendor abound. I may have missed 'em.

as opposed to what? on live where if you zoned you had to make a new pet? its not to difficult to just shrink the pet when you get to the zone you are fighting in, it could be a lot worse. im glad pets stay with us while we zone.

From what I last heard from my old guildmates on Live, warders no longer disappear when zoning, nor do they lose any buffs placed on them.

Last time I played Live, pets also didn't poof when you invis'd and didn't aggro mobs unless you had one targeted and sent it to attack. My lvl 49 mage on Live ran through Gunthak invis'd with pet up and Virtue(which now costs clerics zero dots) on it, was a total joke, way too easy.

Trolls with aligators (swamp homes), iksars with lizard pets, barbs get wolves because they have an afinity with forest wild life. Look at where barbs start off, in snowy lands, it seems wolves would make sense rather than aligators or lizards...

And either way, you should just make a race that has the pet, instead of asking us to change something that is already working well as is.

P.S. ALL pet classes can shrink their pets. Mages and Necros didn't have a pet shrink spell until not too long ago and now they do. Beastlords have always had shrink spells. (Level 29)

That is just a crying frikkin shame... I dint think it was possible for EQ to become more of a gimme game...
