i addressed this issue a long time ago with this thread http://forum.shardsofdalaya.com/showthread.php?t=18895
i saw the motd today and messed with this for quite a while. i may have a good solution. i dont know if there is an actual fix for this. the problem seems to be with the client. it may be video card related.
I tested this on two computers with exact copys of the shards install folder. i tried multiple resolutions with both computers but results where the same.
comp 1
desktop pc
has loading screen issue
nvidia 6600gt
comp 2
dell d410 notebook
no loading screen issue
mobile intel 915m/gms/910ml express chipset
the solution i came up with was to create a template for a loading screen that looked normal on both the normal and cropped loading screen.
im going to post the template and my sample for a new loading screen (sorry dev that created the new screen i mutilated your art work). i'll also upload bmpwad8.s3d wich is the file that holds the loading screen and can be dropped into your shards folder to test this. if you want it to go back to normal just run the patcher.
give it a try and tell me what you think. thanks.
