What does the proc, wrecking of the sun, do?

Also would i be better off using bare fists (13/18+2fire damage from gloves) or these fistwraps?

Its a 50 point DD, you can use the SoD Spell Parser to look up any spell in game, and avoid having to make forum posts like this one! Bare fists are probably better in regards to ratio, but the stats along with the proc probably make up for it
