Crashing when zoning into Centaur Hills

I keep getting this message : "the game" cannot find the zone file "qeytoqrg" in the directory that you are currently running "the game" from. Please check and make sure that you do not have more than one directory with ********* installed. If so, you may be running from the wrong directory.

I deleted then r-installed the game and repatched all and still got the same message. loaded a newbie char and got into the dream with him.
 
Yep, that's the zone file for Centaur Hills. Check your SoD folder for qeytoqrg.s3d
If it's not there, that's likely what you need to get it working.

why would qeytoqrg.s3d be missing from a fresh install?
There seems to be others that are having the same exact problem in different zones.
What would be eating my zone files?
 
I recently started using Ventrilo. I haven't had any problems before I started using it, you think its just a coincidence?
 
I think it coincidental to using Vent.
If I'm not mistaken, the SoD patcher will only download select files, so if the file in question is not one of those files, you will not get it from there.
Usually installers will throw up an error if the file on the disc is corrupt, so if you didn't get any errors, I can't see why it wouldn't have installed it.
However, you did not mention if it is actually missing. Is it?

qeytoqrg_chr is in "the game" folder c:\program files\****\"the game"
qeytorg is in "the game" maps folder c:\program files\****\"the game"\maps
 
Hmm, there should also be the qeytoqrg.s3d.
I don't know if this file could be sent to you without breaking the rules, and even if it was sent to you, would you then run into more problems later on?
I can't say why it's missing, but I can send you a listing of everything in my SoD folder, if it will help at all. Very strange.

I aquired the file qeytoqrg_obj.s3d But I'm still having issues when i try to log in my char stuck in cent hills.

The file is present but it may be corrupt. \n\nPlease either reinstall or delete and re-patch this file.
 
Crashing when loading zone

I have been having the same issue with Highpass. I dont have any issues that I know of with any other zone. I have a backed up copy of the game directory that worked previously that I copied over the Highpass files. It didnt resolve issue. I havent tried reloading the game yet. That will be my next effort. Anyone run into this and get it resolved successfully. Have character trapped in the zone now.
