I just recently reinstalled the entire SoD client using the Steam UF install. Since I ran it the first time I set all my graphics to minimum and ran 800x600 just to be safe and ensure it wasn't a resolution issue that was crashing me.
The game will do 1 of 2 things when it crashes:
Once I log in to the game and click on the server/connect it shows me the loading screen for a split second then immediately crashes to desktop. There is no warning or error message that occurs it just simply crashes with no warning.
Or the game will not crash and just be a black screen for an indefinite amount of time and won't even let me close it through ctrl+alt+del methods. Only way to close it is to alt+F4 with the client in the foreground. Upon trying to close it in any other way I do not have sufficient access to close it.
Would greatly appreciate any help, thanks in advance!
Edit: I am running it as an administrator, which is why the not being able to close it through Task Manager is strange.
