Crashing or something after character select.

Hello all,

I have used EQ Emu months ago, but recently stumbled onto Winter's Roar website. I started it up, followed all the instructions, but I crash or something after char select. By crash or something, I'm not sure what happens. It just stops loading, and when I alt + ctrl + del, it says it's "Not responding"

Any help much appreciated,
