Hi all...so I'm having some issues w/ SoD. Been happening frequently, too.
I crash on zoning. It either freezes, and just never loads the zone, or if I give it enough time, boots me to server select. This happens regardless of whether or not I am boxing, and I have messed around with most of the graphical/loading options in the limited options feature.
I run a gaming laptop that can run Skyrim on max settings, as well as most other higher end games. I also have an extremely fast wireless connection, which is stellar with regards to any other internet function I perform.
This also happens on more than one computer I have tried on - same problem. At times, I will crash on EVERY zone in.
Graphics card is RADEON, quad core processor.
I've tried 'bind affinity to processor' and messed around with that, but choosing options 1 thru 4 doesn't really make a difference. I've tried EQW and not using EQW, and I've reinstalled EQ more than once. Tried repatch all as well. Still crashing 1/3 times I zone.
Love SoD but this is a big problem
It makes the game practically unplayable, as I'm unable to keep up with groups and frequently reloading eq is just annoying as all hell.
Given the options I've already tried, anyone have similar problems, and more importantly, fixes? Would hate to quit such a great server but this isn't fun.
