Crashing in The Blight

Has anyone else had this problem? Tonight I was in the Blight with some guildies of mine, then both of my characters crash simultaneously. I tried to log back in, but I would crash instantly upon zoning into the world. I tried rebooting, patching EQlive, reinstalling the hotfix, just about anything you could imagine, but all to no avail. I got on my level 4 bard on the same account who is in Newport, and he could run around just fine without crashing. This leads me to believe that my problem is unique to The Blight. It happens every time I log in, without fail. The longest I have stayed in the game so far is 5 seconds without crashing.

First of all, get a new UI.

Secondly, I was crashing a lot today early on, then it stopped. Can't explain why.

Did you try replacing the zone files? Or does it keep crashing after you zone out of The Blight?

I think I figured out the problem. Every time I crashed I seemed to be looking in a certain direction on top of the hill just south of the pyramid. It seemed as though I could look anywhere but at this certain set of pillars without crashing. My guess as to why I kept crashing upon zoning in is that I would log in and automatically be facing those pillars. This is the most bizarre glitch ever.
 
I'm no expert but I think it is a z-axis thing. It's happened to me a few times but only when I'm going over hills. Or it could be because I hax.

Regardless, you still need to get a new UI :)

That one is ugly. And you are missing out on so many nice features you could have with a better UI. They are easy to download and tweak. And finally, if you are having nearly any problem with crashing, the first place to try and stop it is to remove any errors from the UI. I will help you if you wish. Talk to me in-game if you want.
 
OMG no one responded to me when i posted that error :(

lol pop causes that crash? i get it all the time :(
to frequently ... most zones that cause it for me were Elds, both plaguelands, DN... should i reload without PoP? or is it that UI that stinks
cause i use the default one too

foma what UI do you suggest for me ..
 
That is the same error I have been getting ever since I started playing here. I have swapped out vid cards and tried numerous driver versions and I still get it. Sometimes the error doesn't pop up and I have to shut my computer down to get out of the screen. Here is most likely what you will find in your dbg.txt file.


01159:process was trying to WRITE invalid data.
