Crashes While Zoneing Some zones lag

I install titanium not to long back when I get back into sod. When I did this It seems I crash a lot while zoneing. The even weirder thing is certian zones give me me lag. Now my computer is really nice its got a 512 mb video card nvidia 9800 , 2 gigs of ram , cpu clocked at 2.8 ghz , it can get up to 3.2 < actual clock speed not oem> For example. I was in the heartland undercaverns even when I set my Clip plane to 0 it was the laggiest zone ever. I asked other players I was with if they had the same problem they said no. They even had lower specs then what Im currently running. Im not running win vista im running xp. I dont run anti virus garbage or firewalls. I can't seem to think of any problem other then the Files I have for Eq maybe they are too new or too old. Anyone know a way to fix this??? I have all old models on nuthing special too. Think its the system cache I have on its not set correct? I mean Im out of ideas I tweak my computer as much as possable , but this is just bazaar this game isn't demanding at all. Some advice would be great and appreciated. Thanx

Heartland lags for me as well and my system is similar to you. I also have zone lag/crashes from time to time. All I have ever been able to put it down to was Internet connection putting its toes up for a split micro second.

It's a known bug for which there are some actions you can take to lessen it, but there is no known panacea atm. (e.g. the zone crashing bug)

Thanks

Np Well thanks for the response I do apprecreciate it , maybe one day we will find a cure to the endless lag of certain zones , and the crashing untill then Lets just Sing and dance :psyduck:

I know this sounds silly but, have you repatched all and bound your processor by clicking the Bind Affinity check box when you startup SoD?

Follow what Aomi said about using a single processor, also some information I found out about systems with dual cores + hyperthreading, or quad core systems:

Updated some information about multiple processors.

Some things I found out with my new quad core processor is that Shards does not like using anything except processor 0 or 1 (aka Processor 1 and 2 from our SoD Patcher) So avoid using any processor option from the patcher beyond 2.

If you attempt to use processors 3 or 4 you can notice performance issues, graphic slowness, stuttering, etc.
