Hey folks. New to Shards and returning to the game after a several year hiatus. Having a problem running Shards.

Installed the game from a Titanium set. Ran your patcher. Everything good so far. Get into Shards setup and it tells me that I only have 4056MB of memory when picking my models. My machine has 8 GB. I decline to turn on any models and try to jump in. Sign in to my account and after using my mouse to hit connect, I get a "Memory Referenced 0x1004f31f at 0x00000000 is bad shut down application". I know my system memory is good. Something in the game files isn't recognizing my system memory. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Could be a few issues, I would try disabling all models and see if you can load in that way. you can always add some back in later. Also what is you ram setup? 2gb x4? it may not be able to real all 4 cards it is after all A VERY old game.

I turned all models off. Still no dice. When I try to load in normally it won't load. If I play it with EQW, I can get it to load and play like it used to look on Live. The problem is...I can't see about 1/8th of the upper portion of the Windowed mode and it won't allow me to move it around when tabbed out.

About the RAM, yes. It is 2gb x 4 DIMMs. Still not sure why it wouldn't let me enable the models when there is clearly enough RAM to run the game and then some.

Run it in admin mode. for the EQW problem. before u do anything on the first accept/decline screen, set your resoultion SUPER high and drag the EQW client into the top left corner of your screen. set your resolution to your preferred setting and then go into options. (you can enable as many new models as you want just push enter instead of clicking accept) then set your client and desktop resoultions to match.

Ran admin. EQW set to 1200x1024, Desktop Res set to 1200x1024. All models on. Runs w/out hiccup. Thanks for the great assists guys!
