Crash After Server Select Screen

I apologize if this has already been asked, but the names of many topics don't specify the particular error occuring.

After the Server Select screen (right before the character select screen), my game crashes, saying that there is an error with eqgame.exe.

-I modified an existing Everquest installation with expansions up to Gates of Discord in regards to the Starter Guide on this site.
-I patched Everquest up to the recent standard using the standard Everquest.exe file.
-I added the hotfix.
-I used the WRFile patch fix to fix the client from not recognizing txt files (it would stop downloading files when it reached thegrey_txt)

It *has* been awhile since i've touched EverQuest and i just copied the entire directory for the Winter's Roar usage (named it EQEmulator). I would reinstall everything from scratch, but currently i do not have any of the everquest CD's on hand.

Might be a bit too much information, but its almost 3 in the morning and im trying to list everything that could possibly be a problem. Thanks in advance.
 
I've been having a similar problem since a night or two ago. I've only had it crash on me like you're talking about once though. Not sure how to fix it yet though...
 
I have the same problem.
I have a fresh new install of EQ from EQ platinum CDs, patched to eqlive as of 1st of June 2005, I copied directory for WR, applied hotfix, ran patcher, am able to login, get to server select screen, click PLAY, whereupon it waits for 5-10 seconds, and then gives eqgame.exe a fatal error and crashes.

I was able to logon past this once yesterday by loading up WR without EQW in fullscreen mode. Instead of crashing, it kept going and loaded up the char select screen. It did this ONCE. It hasnt done it since, and is yet again back to crashing every time, regardless if I try loading up in EQW, EQ in windowed, or EQ in fullscreen.

Any help on this issue, as its obvious its affecting a good handful of players, would be appreciated.

I've also tried deleting my uifiles folder and help folder, reapplying hotfix, repatching, and running, and it still crashes.
