I am having trouble with my cookies. I am not sure if it is due to corrupt cookies or bad settings. I have googled the problem and followed some step by step instructionals on how to make sure I have the settings part right (this was a helpful site), but to no avail. I currently have my first party cookies set to accept, and my privacy setting is set at medium. I have recently deleted all my cookies as well.

In any event, I will visit the SoD forums, read one thread, and when I return to the main page to read the next one, it has marked all topics in every section read. Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any suggested fixes (other than the ones mentioned in the above link)?

I'd like to add that it doesn't do this every time I visit the site and that it does this on my guild forums as well ...

Sounds like it could be a date issue or something?
Try downloading Firefox (www.getfirefox.com) and see if it happens with that too. Then you can know if it's an IE/settings problem.

Any other suggestions (besides changing from IE to Firefox)? I have tried altering my settings a few more times since I posted, and I am still having trouble with my cookies staying. Is anyone else experiencing this?

You might want to check you system date, jsut to make sure it's accurate. Other than that, you've done all the trouble shooting that normally fixes the problem.

Nope it says it is Wednesday, February 22nd 2006 at 4:17pm EST. That is the correct time/date. *sighs* Could it be a server side issue?

It does it for me when I've changed IP addresses, I.E. I am at work viewing the boards, then come up on the same laptop and the IP is different, boards are all read. I guess I just got use to it, I never have enough time to check every board as it is.

EDIT: Oh and it's not all the time, just once in a while.

Note - Could be server side if they *have* to reboot the server. Just a thought.

Yea, I tried firefox and still getting the same resluts. Anyone else find a fix for this yet? I hate having to remember when I read the forums last and I miss important posts like calaran's multi-page sticky that I just saw today ... *pouts*
