considering SoD server... with questions of course...

hello... I use to run on the FV and test servers on EQ for a long time, been off it for about 2 or 3 years now... and am considering returning... miss my solteris geared beastlord... Im assuming SoD is an emulation of EQ? is there any way to bring a character into SoD from a live EQ server such as their '/testcopy' function? or do you have to start out again from scratch? not that big of an ordeal... but since I would like to run the toon I put so many hours into in the first place, if it cannot be copied over, might as well play on the server Id have to be paying for to do so... just curious if anything can be done on that matter...
 
I played on FV as well. Was a fun server to be on that's for sure. Anyways, like Zorlon said, there isn't any way to copy your character over. The level cap on here is only 65 so your 80 or 85 Beastlord would definitely not fit in very well.
 
I always tell people to not thing of it as an EQ Emu...if EQ was Super Mario Brothers, this is Mega Man, but all the models and some game mechanics still look like Super Mario Brothers.

It's a whole different game, played on the same game board, but Boardwalk ain't what you'd expect.

That being said, this game kicks serious ass.

so many metaphors, I'd almost think dimmi was literate.
 
I just want to welcome another FV exile. Like Dimmi said, this is all original content, but uses the same zones and models. So it will be all new. The old route to EXP (tutorial to Kurn's Tower to Paludial Caverns...) means absolutely nothing here.

One thing that is great about this server is the wiki is pretty useful. That is for many things it is absolutely great, but other articles may not be 100% accurate.

If you squint it may look similar at times, and it may feel similar at time, but in the end its a whole new experience.
