Confused

I Hate to make another post about this but I looked all the others and couldent find an fix. I have the error 1017 and I dont know what to do. I looked at all the other posts about this and just got confused. Downloaded the EQFix thing but that gave me some error when I tryed to run the app. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

you take the EQfix stuff, COPY it, and PASTE it into your EQ folder. when it asks if you want to overwrite say YES. you dont run the EQgame.exe that comes with the fix lol.
