Completed practice poison

Maybe I missed it on the forums, so if I did, please post a link to it.

I have 3 stacks of completed practice poison but did not get a single point into the skill. Am I suppose to hand these into someone to get the skill unlocked, make a lot more to get a single point, or what?

How many do I need to make to get a point? I do not have practices left, so please do not say "well just put a point into the skill". Thank you for your time.

I have this problem as well. By the way, I just skip the poison making newbie quest and do directly wolf brane poison.

Did skipping the newbie one and going to wolf brane happen to let you level?

yes, you start at 20, so you can start making poison which is 35 trivial (read wiki).
