COMPETITIONS - Zone Connection Map/Promotional Banner

I want to put an official zone connection map on the website, thus this contest. The zone connection map should show the zones as a bubble, box, whatever works, not as a real map since that will unavoidably end up wrong. They should also show if each door is a city, outdoors zone, indoors zone or plane. It should not show if what level a zone is, if a zone is a raid zone, or anything about what kind of mobs it contains. Just city/outdoors/dungeon/plane (ONE of the above, the one that fits the most). It must include ALL current zones. Travel portal zones and boat routes should be shown.

I will judge winner based mainly on good looks and how easy it is to read.

Please do not use any copyrighted graphics in making this map and keep the size around 800x600 and the format as JPG.

Submit your graphic to [email protected] before Oct 6th, when I will announce the winner here in this thread. The winner will receive either 500 fame points or a title (your choice). The winning graphic will be put on the website and forums shortly thereafter.
 
Contest 2 - Promotional banner.

The second contest, offering up the same prize as the first contest (500 fame or title) is for a promotional banner. This should be an animated GIF with the exact dimensions 468x60, a size of less than 20k, and not annoying to look at. This banner should briefly summarize what SOD is about in text and images.

Submit it to [email protected] before Oct 10th.
 
The winner of competition 1 is Jedz. His zone connection map will be making an appearance on the new website we're working on. I will also post it here tomorrow.

I have received a couple of entries for the banner contest, but none that I feel are good enough to be used as a promotional banner, so if you still want a shot at those 500 fame points feel free to send in your own banner.
 
It looks nice but i dont like the diagonal connections, it doesnt give me a good vision of the whole map. Also there are no color signing the recomended lvl of the zone. If the map was bigger you could remove that diagonal connections and make an up,down,left, right connection. However i actually prefer an older map at wiki(Ssetcik map) because the color-lvl subject. The one made by Zargh is great becouse the click-link option.

What i want to say is that this map looks cool but isnt better than the older ones.... :psyduck:
 
heartland caverns connects off of heartland plateau? and doesnt connect to anything else correct?
