Being a healer, I can agree with Kjiel. I mean, by the time you are on tier to hit class3/4 version of this tome, It doesnt even matter. Runic 2 pets actually manage to stay alive fairly well. So it does seem kind of redundant to make tomes that will save your pet from dying, when the bst would almost be dead in any situation where it would fire.
At the same time, I don't think paragon is a good place to focus on tomes. Paragon serves its purpose. A little boost to mana for some casters, who need it at a lower tier. Again though, when you reach the tier where you would be able to obtain class 3 or 4s, mana isn't a huge deal anymore, and fights depend more on executing strats over being able to hold out on mana forever (which is good, in a progression scheme, get gear, then when mana becomes high enough, make fights become a whole new level of hard), I feel like a paragon upgrading tome is again kind of pointless.
Instead, what I would propose is a tome that increases the effects of cunning by 1 or 2% per level. Both the damage inc and aggro reduction. So we're talking 1% for 4-5 casters, up to 4% for 4-5 casters in the current end game. Feels like in the end, this balances out to be a worthwhile tome to do.
