Comments on new mistmoore zone..

First of all, mistmoore is one of the greatest zones ever made. And playing there again brings back some old memories. So kudos for adding it (now, all we need is Plane of Fear, and Lower Guk =p). However, if it IS intended for an EXP zone, I think it's a bit too rough. Past the Graveyard or going through the front door, there are MANY 2-3, sometimes even 4 pulls. I don't know if they are linked or not, but this pretty much makes the EXP group rely on a monk or SK in the group. Because from what I've seen, some of the mobs (if not most) are unmessable.. Otherwise, if a group can't bring a perfect class make up, they are forced to do the entrance.. And 1 group can easily camp the entire entrance/yard area easily... Thus forcing the next group to have the perfect group.

Now, if I'm just mistaken and most mobs are messable.. disregard. Then it's fair (since most groups need an enc to be efficient anyways). I'd just hate to see this zone turn into the "Die a couple times to linked pulls, and get so-so exp, and beastlord arms/legs (see: POS loot)" Cmal zone.

Another thing is the see through sneak/hide part. That just seems ridiculous. I find it hard to believe that dragons.. even the gods on WR to not be able to see a rogue.. Yet a regular exp mob can. Now, if there is a very GOOD reason for this. Then that's fine.. For instance, if there is a tough room with 7 or 8 mobs all linked, just in order to get a phat lewt named mob solo. Then that would make sneak/hide too powerful, since a group of rogues could sneak/hide to it and kill and farm phat loots... But other then that.. It makes no sense.

How does one get to mistmoore?(sry, never played Live, so have no idea where it might be)

And, about what lvls are the mobs in this zone?

Actually, I really don't know how to get there.. lol.. just by summon so far.

The mobs near entrance are around 54-55.. Im guessing those are the lowest lvl ones. It is a high lvl exp zone.
 
The see sneak/hide was already removed, for the very reason you mentioned.

All mobs except statues are mezzable, even the named vampires.

The outer pre-graveyard area is designed for more casual groups, while the inside of castle is designed for groups that can split pull or CC.
 
The zone is quite nice from the last couple days testing it. There are still some nasty problems (as of midday yesterday) inside the castle with Line of Sight and some doors/walls which caused our test group to wipe several times under a torrent of a named and half a dozen trash mobs.

Inside the castle is very tight too and does not allow for a lot of movement or pulling space. We had to make many pulls from a tiny corner of a 1x1 "L" pathway with all of us crammed in tight.
 
From a purely selfish perspective, I wish more of the mobs inside the place were undead. I had been led to believe that the new 55+ zone was going to be 100% undead.

Anyway, I really like the zone from what Ive seen of it. Should be interesting when its done being tweaked.

When I thought over the concept of the entire zone, so many undead didn't make much honest sense.

There'll be more undead for you to play with in the rest of Faydwer.
