Combine Armor Upgrade

I needed to clear bank space and today and since my neck piece isn't great, I decided to create the combine chainmail neckguard with the components I had banked.

I was sad to discover that the combine chainmail neck is actually worse than the ornate stormforged chainmail neck. I think, because ornate got an upgrade a while ago so it would actually be usable once in a while, and the combine didn't.

current ornate neck stats:

12 AC
bunch of stats (don't remember all of 'em)
some HP, mana
8 to all saves
+1 damage reduction


current Combine neck stats:
15 AC
Bane Enhancement IV
6 STR 6 STA 4 CHA 8 WIS 8 INT 8 AGI
100 HP 100 MANA
10 FR 10 CR 5 PR

I was hoping combine could be improved to be at least a bit better than Ornate. TY.
 
You're Skos right? Idk what you're hoping for but why would a combine piece of armor be better than your current neck??

But your request still makes sense.

Yeah bunch and some are clearly higher than 100 and 4/6/8.

I'm sorry for the lack of specifics, but when I told the Vaporous Projection to remind me what the stats were on the item I'd just given it, I got no response.

The combine BP and legs will probably always be usable regardless of their stats because they have great clicky effects (I even throw on my combine BP/legs once in a while since they're DR auged). The combine armor that does not have clicky benefits should have decent stats to make up for all the work required to obtain it. Knowing the (old) stats on ornate armor, and given the other gear that's more readily available (Collar of the White Lynx, in my case), the rest of the combine armor is likely not worth creating.

I don't think I'm alone in this assessment, as the wiki only gives stats for the BP, legs and cloak - probably because so few people have ever bothered to create any of the other pieces that the stats haven't been listed.

I'm just recommending that the stats ought to be looked at to ensure that they're still worth obtaining given the effort required versus what's currently available elsewhere in the game.
 
I'll also point out that the stats really shouldn't be close. Ornate armor requires:

The proper piece of aged gear looted from a dungeon, plus various gems from dungeons
Ally giants/dragons
The proper gem(s) from Storm's Eye or DHK T4 content.

Combine armor requires:
The proper piece of aged gear looted from a dungeon, plus various gems from dungeons
Ally giants/dragons
The proper gem(s) from Storm's Eye or DHK T4 content.
Prison Flag (obtained through a GotSS raid in EC) - T4
The proper gem(s) from OP trash - Tier 6 to 8 content.
 
By the time the ornate revamp occurred I was well beyond the point of using it (although I briefly toyed with the idea of wearing the revamped arms for the +3 archery mod), but I could imagine wearing a number of the revamped pieces if I was a few tiers back. I thought the revamp was a better use of the game's existing content than the gear that was previously in place since no one wore it at any tier.

Since it's already been done, I'd think it would be pretty easy to start with the ornate stats as a base and add from there for the combine gear.
