CoI quest: Dealing with the Snobolds

This quest is broken, whacky, or both and it'd be great if this could be addressed.

This is the first quest available from Branral Iceforge in Thurgadin. He requests snow kobold ears from Sorc's lab; the wiki says it takes 3 stacks to complete. Today on Digory I turned in 1 stack and got 5 sets of "acknowledge" text and 5 factions hits, turned in the second stack and got 5 sets of text and 5 faction hits, but when i turned in the third and presumably final stack, I got 3 sets of text and 3 hits, and he returned 8 ears. I turned those 8 ears back in and he gave me 1 set of text and 1 faction hit, then returned 4.

I tried to turn in the last set of 4 and nothing happens, and nothing changed in my journal. The wiki also says it's a common bug that there isn't a journal entry, but now I have my doubts my faction hits accumulated properly. Would be great if this quest could get a lookover and repair, and if Digory could either get his journal flag with the right amount of faction appropriated or if he could have the quest reset and be refunded the 56 ears for a new turn-in.

EDIT: Krista got me all sorted out on the flag front but at the very least there is something wrong with the journal update on this quest. Thanks again Rari and Krista for the lightning quick response time to my petition. You guys are great.

Oh, yeah... this was on my laundry list of things I wanted to fix if I ever got the ability to do so that I made 3.5 years ago when I joined staff.

Study the locals
Rinbo Strongfoot doesnt recognize all creatures properly "prodded",quest stays in journal,
no yellow or green text after prodding 4 * 10 creatures.

Harthuk herding
No completion message,no green or yellow text,quest stays in journal .

Now the really strange thing is I did the quest line with 2 chars,1 of them could finish the 2 mentioned quests,np,the other couldnt.Name of bugged (?) char is Melhdur.

For the "Study the Locals" quest, you may need to kill some of the creatures to get new ones to spawn. If you're prodding ones that were prodded by someone else the day before, then I don't believe you can prod them and get credit. When I did that quest, I had some issues, went on a zone-wide massacre (which took quite a while), and then my proddings went through without further problems.

For "Harthuk Herding", that's a new one on me. I'll give it a look, but no promises I'll be able to get back to you quickly (I'm not a Dev).
